Creating harmony from complexity

I sent a critique to Gift of Jazz of my own volition, and luckily for me, they liked what I had to say. I’m honored to serve as the Marketing Director for Gift of Jazz, and below is what we have accomplished so far.

Educational Content Pillar

Our most successful piece of content to date. 92% non-follower reach, which was in-line with our primary goal.

Authority building content. As a non-profit that supports jazz education, one of my prescriptions was content that displayed deep jazz knowledge.

Updated Promotional Content

Implementing video content that displays the artist’s music retains attention longer, and lowers barrier to entry on ticket purchases.

Accomplished so far…

Tripled reach (5,647 people, entirely organically), and increased follower count in accordance with industry average conversion rates (141 followers) in three months.

Qualitatively, the non-profits’ board has affirmed concert turn-out has never been better.

What’s Next?

With a stronger social media strategy in place, we are now focusing on other marketing avenues. This includes search advertising, the Google Display Network, and overall funneling our new audience to our website. With new SMART goals in place, we’ll check back in at 6 months!
